Special event: 🌱 Academic Gardening: Reimagining Sustainable Ways of Organising
What if we could garden theory?
Academic Gardening is an emerging space for nurturing living conversations about how management and organisation studies can meaningfully contribute to the urgent transformation towards sustainability.
Through somatic workshops, garden dialogues, artistic practices, and academic exchanges, we are experimenting with new ways of thinking, sensing, and writing about sustainable organising. Not as a detached cognitive exercise—but as an embodied, collective, and care-full practice.
🌿 From roots and rhizomes to rhythms of bodies, ecosystems, and ideas we ask:
How can we organise in ways that care for, about, and with bodies—human and earth others’?
How can we develop organization theories that transgress linearity of industrial time and become sensitive to the polyrhythms of bodies, eco-, and planetary systems. 🌾💭
How can we reclaim academia from its extractive logics and nurture environments of co-learning and co-creation?
📢 Join us for our upcoming gathering 5th-6th March 2026 in Berlin/Eberswalde focused on rhythm, relationality, and regeneration—an open invitation to researchers, artists and activists.
Bring your theory sketches, stories, performances, or poems. Come to share, move, and think together for a joyful and radical act of reclaiming how we learn, teach, and live with/in the world. 🌍🎶🫱🏽
To participate, please send an email to anke_strauss@web.de with an abstract/outline of 500 words (max.). This can be an academic contribution but also an artistic engagement or other ideas for exchange.
Deadline: 15th December 2025
